Rods for Albies & Bonitos are usually fast taper high modulus blanks, thus making them light, flexible and capable of throwing light epoxies and unweighted plastics. Some of our favorites include the G.Loomis Greenwater and E6X, Shimano Teramar XXX, and St.Croix, our bestselling series of rods. These rods are usually paired with 3k to 5k size reels. Weight and ergonomics are usually the main focus of the discriminating Albie anglers. The Shimano Stradic is by far our most popular Albie reel at a reasonable price.
