Coastal Striped Bass and Squid Fishing in Rhode Island

Fishing in the mouth of the Connecticut River has been consistently good, with anglers finding numbers in schoolie and slot sized stripers. Small shad style soft plastics are consistently producing well.

In the Niantic River, winter flounder fishing has been excellent. Most fish are being caught on Gulp Sandworms and Swimming Mullets.

Squid fishing off the coast of Rhode Island has been fantastic! The Blackhawk has done a few trips so far and each of them has provided a great catch of perfect squid for the table.
