The rod that started it all - the Dark Matter Inshore series is the OG of the Dark Matter lineup. I hold a special place in my heart for this one, as it spawned the entire line of Dark Matter rods. My personal KO list for this rod is as follows – Striped bass to 42 inches, fluke, blackfish, weakfish, bluefish, redfish to 44 inches (that was fun), black drum, jack crevalle, sea trout, countless bull shark pups, sheepshead, tripletail, and one very angry permit. This was all done on my prototype 7’ medium-power spinning rod (our production models are much better built and come in M, MH, and H models) so that goes to show how well built this rod is and how versatile it can be in the hands of someone who is truly passionate about this sport.
