This weekend was tough weather wise, but if you were able to make it out you may know that there were fish to be caught! Despite the wind and rain, the CT River had some great bass fishing with some larger fish being caught on topwater. Customer Mike Querfeld was able to fool this big bass with a bait and switch and got her on the fly! Striper fishing in the Race has been great with tons of schoolie size fish being caught with larger fish moving in every day.
Porgy fishing in Long Island waters continues to be excellent, and many weakfish are still being caught daily. Fluke fishing has been getting better steadily as the water temperature heats up.
We are starting to hear some Tuna reports coming in here and there. With lots of fish being caught in New Jersey over the weekend, we are expecting fish to be moving closer to Long Island very soon! The weather for the end of the week looks great and there is some very fishy water moving in off the Edge, so we are expecting some great reports from the Canyons very soon!
